Hollywood: Rally wide works

Through the seventh race, there has been a common theme among the main track winners on Thursday evening - horses who rally wide in the stretch have found their way to the front.

There have not been many longshot winners, the highest price in six main track sprints was Summers at Delmar ($14.60) in the first race. Three subsequent winners have been favored. In the seventh race, second choice Boychik ($7.40) stalked pacesetter Chapman's Peak, took the lead in the final furlong and held off a late wide rally from Private Bounty to win by 1 1-4 lengths.

The eighth race is the Grade 3 Sen. Ken Maddy Handicap on turf, while the ninth race is a maiden claimer on the main track for sprinters. Tribul Witch, the 5-2 favorite, is a candidate to stalk the pace and make a wide rally in that race over 6 1-2 furlongs.
