Hollywood: Pick six pool soars

Ten Devils closed well through the final quarter-mile to win a five-furlong maiden race for 2-year-olds on turf in Thursday's third race, the first leg of a pick six that drew a pool of $616,629. The bet began with a carryover of $99,993 from Sunday.

Ten Devils ($7.20) was the second choice in the betting. Ridden by Joe Talamo, Ten Devils won by 2 1-4 lengths over Shelter Cove. Kingpin Ryno finished third in the field of eight, closing well along the rail after a slow start.

Ten Devils is by Rock Hard Ten and was making his first start for breeder Gerald Ford's Diamond A Racing Corp. and trainer Richard Mandella.
