Hollywood: Pick 6 pays $20,615

The pick six on Monday paid $20,615 after a string of early longshots were followed in the final races by winning favorites.

The winners of the pick six races were Kelly Leak ($33.60), Party Ruler ($18.20), Samba School ($4.20), Glamorista ($13.80), Celtic Princess ($5.40) and Shane Daniel ($4.60).

Shane Daniel won a five-furlong maiden claimer by 2 3-4 lengths over Melo Laser, leading throughout. Shane Daniel is trained by Doug O'Neill, who had two wins on Monday.

There was an objection in the last race. Jockey Alonso Quinonez, who rode third-place finisher Brother Ernie, alleged that runner-up Melo Laser caused interference, but the objection was disallowed.

The race was reduced by one starter after Thunder Ali, a first-time starter who was in training in Utah earlier this year, was scratched at the gate because of unsoundness in a hind leg, according to track officials. Thunder Ali was 8-1 when he was withdrawn.
