Hollywood: Pick 5 pays $169

The 50-cent pick 5 drew a record pool of $199,631 on Sunday and paid $169 on a day when favorites dominated.

The winners of the first five races were Free and Able ($5), Russian River ($3.60), Preferred Behavior ($19.80), Achak ($3.80) and Bradium ($7). All but Preferred Behavior were favored.

The 50-cent pick 5 features a 14 percent takeout, and was launched on the first day of the spring-summer meeting, April 21.

There were three claims in the fifth race. Race winner Bradium was taken for $25,000 in a two-way shake by trainer Doug O'Neill, who also claimed fourth-place finisher Rainbow Goose. Cahill Country, who finished last in a field of six, was claimed by Hector Palma.

Bradium gave jockey Patrick Valenzuela his second winner of the day.
