Hollywood: No one blanks today

Russian River, likely to be the shortest price on Sunday's program, won the second race as expected, paying $3.60.

Ridden by Tyler Baze, Russian River stalked pacesetter Coalbanks Landing to early stretch and pulled clear with a wide rally to win by 1 1-4 lengths over Fifie's Fantasy, who closed some ground late to be second.

Russian River races for a partnership and is trained by Mike Mitchell. The 5-year-old mare won a $40,000 claimer on Sunday over six furlongs on turf and won a six-furlong $25,000 claimer non-winners of two lifetime on April 22. Russian River is the first two-time winner at the meeting, which began on April 21.
