Hollywood: No fuss for Teddy

Teddy's Promise had no trouble beating three rivals in Thursday's third race, an optional claimer for 2-year-old statebred fillies.

Ridden by Joel Rosario, Teddy's Promise ($3.40) led throughout and was never seriously urged. She was timed in 1:23.68, winning by 5 1-4 lengths over Queenie Marini.

The $100,000 California Breeders' Champion Stakes for statebred 2-year-old fillies over seven furlongs at Santa Anita on Dec. 27 is likely to be Teddy's Promise's next start. The filly has won 2 of 5 starts.
