Hollywood: No change in first

Email

Hollywood Park stewards conducted an inquiry into the stretch run of the first race but did not change the order of finish even though runner-up Warren's Rough Luv drifted out badly in the stretch.

Skimming Skipper ($27.80) finished a nose in front of Warren's Rough Luv, who carried out the winner in the final sixteenth. The inquiry focused on whether third-place finisher Clocker Moment was affected by Warren's Rough Luv's path. The stewards ruled that the margin of 1 1-2 lengths between Warren's Rough Luv and Clocker Moment was enough to not affect the order of finish.

One horse not involved in the inquiry was 4-5 favorite Red Rock Run, who broke slowly, stalked the pace but offered no threat in the stretch and finished fourth.

Warren's Rough Luv was vanned off after the race.
