Hollywood: A missed chance?

Jockey Martin Pedroza finished second on 9-1 Quick Enough in Saturday's $125,000 Tiznow Stakes, running 2 3-4 lengths behind Amazombie ($4.20), the favorite.

After the race, Pedroza questioned his decision to stalk pacesetter Amazombie instead of taking on the leader.

"He ran a helluva race," Pedroza said. "I had my choice to get up in there or get out and I got out and saved something for the end. If I did it again, I'd do it the other way."

In fairness to Pedroza, Quick Enough ran a remarkable race. Had he gone to the front, it is possible that Quick Enough would have faded.

Already this spring, it's been a busy term for Quick Enough. On March 26, he was eighth in the Al Quoz Sprint in Dubai, was flown back to California and had two workouts for the Tiznow Stakes in recent weeks. In addition, Amazombie won his third stakes of 2010.
