Hollywood: Miller's stable is hot

Email

Trainer Peter Miller, who starts the outsider Comma to the Top in the Kentucky Derby next Saturday, won for the third time in the last two days with Advantage Player ($5) in Saturday's sixth race.

Miller has won with 5 of 14 starters at the meeting, and with three of his last seven runners. Advantage Player had little difficulty in a $50,000 claimer over six furlongs. Ridden by Joel Rosario, Advantage Player led shortly after the start, and pulled clear to win by 8 1-2 lengths in 1:09.52.

Miller had two winners on Friday. One reason for his stable's success is that he trains at Hollywood Park, and has prepared many of his runners for the start of this meeting. His next two starters are in Saturday's ninth race - Flashmans Papers and A Lil Dumaani - in an $8,000 claimer.
