Hollywood: Lloyd reclaims mare

Hameildaeme, second to 8-5 favorite El Nadia in Thursday's fifth race, was claimed for $25,000 by trainer Jamie Lloyd on behalf of Jim Ford. Ford and Lloyd campaigned Hameildaeme earlier in her career before she was claimed from them for $25,000 on April 17.

In Thursday's race, Hameildaeme was beaten 1 3-4 lengths by El Nadia. Hameildaeme, a 5-year-old mare, has won 3 of 23 starts. She was third in the Grade 2 San Clemente Handicap at Del Mar in 2009 when owned by Ford and trained by Lloyd.

El Nadia ($5.40) won the final leg of a 50-cent pick five that paid $680. The winners of the first four races were Sleep Tight ($3), Sinai ($10.40), Dancing At Dark ($9) and Ruler of Dubai ($14.40). The pick five pool was $166,409.

Lloyd said that Hameildaeme had become something of a barn favorite, which made claiming her back an easy decision. It will also be popular with other four-legged members of the staff, he said. "Her goat will be happy," he said.
