Hollywood: Late scratch in 8th

There was a late scratch in Sunday's eighth race when American Wildcat, a 15-1 shot, was withdrawn with about two minutes to post after failing to warm up well, according to track stewards.

The allowance race for 3-year-olds was won by Prayer for Relief ($6.40), who ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:44.47. Prayer for Relief was trainer Bob Baffert's second winner of the day, having won an allowance race for 3-year-olds by Smash.

Prayer for Relief finished three-quarters of a length in front of Jakesam.

The allowance race was Prayer for Relilef's first start since a second to the multiple stakes winner Comma to the Top in the Real Quiet Stakes here last November. Jakesam was third in the La Puente Stakes at Santa Anita in April and eighth in the Grade 2 American T'urf Stakes at Churchill Downs on May 6.
