Hollywood: Late scratch in 7th

Goodbye Charlie, a 7-1 chance, was withdrawn at the gate for Saturday's seventh race after he was injured in the gate, according to track officials.

The race was delayed several minutes while the field was unloaded and then placed back into the stalls. The delay was caused after one of the assistant starters was taken to first aid after being injured when Goodbye Charlie became fractious.

The race was won by the first-time starter Memphis, who rallied from last in a field of 13 to win by a head over the 5-2 favorite Madeoftherightstuf. Memphis, ridden by David Flores for trainer Marty Jones, closed from seventh. Memphis, a gelding by Roar, paid $66.40
