Hollywood: "Good Luck, Zenyatta"

If you happen to fly into Los Angeles International Airport over the next few days, and therefore right over Hollywood Park a few minutes before landing, have a peek out the window toward the racetrack.

There is a massive rooftop sign, measuring 20 feet by 150 feet, displaying the pinnacle of provincial pride - "Good Luck Zenyatta."

"We, like so many others here in Southern California, are fiercely proud of Zenyatta, and this is just one small way for us to share that pride," track president Jack Liebau said in a statement released on Thursday.

The undefeated 6-year-old mare has been based at Hollywood Park for nearly all of her career, and won her most recent start there, in the Lady's Secret Stakes at the Oak Tree at Hollywood Park meeting on Oct. 2. Zenyatta has won 19 races, and is favored to make it 20 in Saturday's Breeders' Cup Classic at Churchill Downs, a race she won last year at Santa Anita.
