Hollywood: Early double pays $35.20

The $2 early double on Thursday's opening night program returned $35.20 following wins by Summers at Delmar ($14.60) and favored Harlan's Tune ($4.20).

Summers at Delmar rallied wide in the stretch of a $25,000 claimer for 3-year-olds to win the six-furlong race by a head overLegal Separation.

In the second race, a maiden claimer over six furlongs, Harlan's Tune had a perfect trip under jockey Victor Espinoza, and won by 1 1-4 lengths over Wild Hombre.

So far, the handle on the first two races has been a little on the light side, with win pools failing to get $100,000 in either race. The weather is warm, with temperatures in the low 70s. The nine-race program runs until approximately 10:41 p.m., Pacific.
