Hollywood: Dahoud goes all the way

Dahoud ($8) led throughout an optional claimer over 1 1-16 miles on turf in Saturday's seventh race, the fourth leg of the pick six.

Dahoud held off a late run from 2-1 favorite Norvsky to win by a head in 1:40.90. The optional claimer was Dahoud's first start since a ninth in the Grade 2 San Juan Capistrano Handicap at Santa Anita in April.

Norvsky closed well to just miss. Euroglide, who finished fourth, was in traffic in early stretch and was not clear until deep stretch.

The $1 pick three ending with Dahoud returned $599, with Donato ($12.40) and Bench Glory ($49.60).

Going toward the eighth race, the Californian Stakes, Twirling Candy is the 1-9 favorite with $70,727 of the $100,221 bet to show.
