Gulfstream: opening day scratches

Email

It's opening day of the 79-day meet at Gulfstream Park, always a much anticipated day for horseplayers not only here in SoFla, but also with simo players throughout North America. It's a beautiful day here, with temps expected to reach almost 80, with a fast main track and a firm turf. The $100k Old Hat (race 8), for 3yo fillies going 6 panels, serves as the feature of the 9-race card.

A reminder that many of the big-paying exotic wagers at Gulf are now available in reduced increments, notably the 50-cent pick 5, 50-cent pick 4s, and both the pick 6 and superfectas for a mere dime.
