Fair Grounds: Turf rail still bad, dirt still unbiased

First Monday card of the meet, and quality-wise, not much doing. Joshua Reynolds just won race 6, a $25K turf maiden-claimer, as 7-5 chalk off obviously competitive New York form. I've seen plenty of East Coast chalk go down on the FG lawn, but this one was solid. As has been the case in recent days, riders are choosing to lose ground over get too close to the fence, with the inside of the course apparently much deeper than the outside.

No bias on dirt, with times in an average range. Trainer Bret Calhoun has sent out two winners on the card.
