Fair Grounds: One stakes down, four to go

Saturday conditions: Main track fast, turf good with rail 10 feet out.
Sunny, 51 degrees, wind north (cross) 8-12 mph

Three dirt races in the books won by one speed horse, one presser, and one stalker. Looks like no bias to me. Times far livelier than they've been in two racing weeks.

Front-end turf winner Perragaux in race 2, a rarity on the FG lawn with rail not farther out in the course. Runner-up Mavericking also ran well in this route for 2yo N1X alw. horses.

Didn't see why Lady Alexander should be 2-5 compared to the 2-1 offered on Wildcat Heiress in race 3, the $60K Esplanade, and indeed, it was Wildcat Heiress clear early and late, while Lady Alexander wound up last of 4.
