Fair Grounds: Faster track for special Wednesday card

Mostly clear, 74 degrees. Wind northwest (cross/tail) 6-10 mph
Fast and firm. Turf rail at 20 feet.
Five races in the books, four favorites home. Favorites on the main track are, in fact, a perfect 4-4 so far today. And these are not tepid chalks, either: $4.20,$4.40, $5, and topping off the chalkfest, Crystal Moment home in race 1 at $2.20. Woo hoo!
Crystal Moment, a recent WinStar Farms cull, won by about a million lengths, and his six-furlong time in this N1X allowance race, 1:10.37, seemed quite strong. But two races later, $7.5K maiden-claiming winner Dublin Da'bet went the same distance in 1:10.66, meaning that the dull-main-track period we'd been going through the several racing days appears to have ended. Race 5 winner Bristol Song only managed 6fs in 1:12.44, but I'd guess this was a function of quality, with this 2yo $30K maiden-claimer lacking much of it.
