Del Mar: Super High 5 carries

Senor Rain ($17.80) led throughout Friday's eighth race for maiden claimers to give jockey Garrett Gomez and trainer Peter Miller their second winners of the program.

Senor Rain ran six furlongs in 1:10.29 winning a maiden claimer for 2-year-olds by 3 1-2 lengths over 34-1 Quality Elusion.

The runner-up finish by Quality Elusion in a field of 12 that lacked a strong favorite has led to a super high five carryover of $32,235 for Saturday's 10th race. The unlucky horse in Friday's last race was the 7-2 favorite Forest Souvenir, who was bumped repeatedly on the backstretch and going into the turn, and finished 11th.

The pick six on Friday paid $28,321.

The winners of the first five pick six races were La Sombre ($3.40), E Z Led ($29.80), Backwoods Belle ($3.60), Bench Glory ($9.60), and Unzip Me ($4.40).

For the super high five in Saturday's 10th race, there are 10 runners in a $25,000 claimer over a mile on turf for fillies and mares. Justincredible was scratched on Friday morning.

There was one claim in Friday's eighth race. Fear the Beard, who finished fifth, was taken for $40,000 by Doug O'Neill.
