Del Mar: Quietly Mine opens pick 6

Quietly Mine ($10.40) ended a year-long losing streak with a perfect trip in Friday's second race, the first leg of a pick six that drew a strong pool of $207,509.

Quietly Mine was ridden by Martin Pedroza, who guided the 7-year-old gelding wide through the stretch to catch 3-5 favorite Quick Enough in the final sixteenth of an optional claimer on turf and win by a half-length. Quietly Mine ran five furlongs in 55.93 seconds.

Quick Enough, the winner of the Sensational Star Handicap at Santa Anita in February, was claimed by Ed Moger, Jr., for $40,000.
