The $2 pick six at Del Mar paid $1,109,920 to an on-track ticketholder who invested $3,024, according to Del Mar officials. The payoff was the fourth-largest in track history, officials said.

The pick six figured to pay far less after four of the six races before upset wins by Calimonco ($43.40) and January Miss ($49.40) in the last two legs. There was only one winning favorite, Three Cuties ($7.40), in the third race, who was followed by Hameildaeme ($14.80), Te Rapa ($8.40), and Pedaltothemedal ($6.80).

January Miss (Alonso Quinonez) rallied from off the pace to catch pacesetter Jessakar in the final furlong of the eighth race, a sprint over 5 1-2 furlongs for 2-year-old maiden claimers
