Del Mar: It's Team Lucky's day

Trainer Bob Baffert and the partnership of Mike Pegram, Karl Watson and Paul Weitman won Sunday's $1 million Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park with the star 3-year-old Lookin At Lucky, and a $54,000 allowance race at Del Mar with Subsidized later in the day.

Both were favored. Subsidized ($5.80) closed from just off the pace to catchpacesetter Saint Isabelle in the final sixteenth of a six-furlong race, finishing in 1:10.32 and winning by a neck. Subsidized was the first winning favorite in Sunday's pick six races, winning the fourth leg. The $1 pick 3 ending with her race returned $559.70. Ranger Heartley ($18.60) and Beachrock ($20.40) won the first two legs.

Subsidized was ridden by Martin Pedroza. The 3-year-old filly, by Ghostzapper, was second in her debut on April 15 and won her second start in a maiden race at Hollywood Park on May 12.
