Email

The longshots are dominating the afternoon at Del Mar.

Ultra Blend ($23.60) won the Grade 1 Clement Hirsch Stakes for fillies and mares in the eighth race, and was followed by Fleet Continental ($36.20) in the ninth race. Fleet Continental gave apprentice jockey Eswan Flores his first career win at Del Mar.

The longshots have dominated so thoroughly that the pick six carryover was announced after the ninth race, with one leg of the bet still to go. The carryover for Sunday will be $145,934.

The pick six on Sunday covers the fifth through 10th races on a program that begins at 2 p.m.  There was one scratch for Sunday's program on Saturday morning. In the sixth race, for 2-year-old maiden fillies, Charm the Maker will not run, leaving a field of 11.
