Del Mar: Carryover reaches $97,949

There is a pick six carryover of $97,949 for Friday at Del Mar.

Huntington Harbour ($17.80) was the surprise winner of Thursday's eighth race, leading to the carryover. Huntington Harbour was ridden by Kerwin John, a replacement for jockey Tyler Baze, who did not ride on Thursday. Baze did not submit to a Breathalyzer test ordered by track stewards that morning. Two of the six horses that Baze was supposed to ride on Thursday were winners.

The pick six on Friday covers the second through seventh races on a program that begins at 4 p.m., Pacific. There are only seven races on Friday's card, which results in the earlier start to the pick six.

There are early scratches in the third through seventh races.

In the third race, Secret Cove is out. In the fourth race, Cast a Doubt will not run.

Absolute Courage and Safe Range are out of the fifth race.

There are two scratches in the sixth race, the El Cajon Stakes - Moment of Weakness and Ain't No Other.

In the seventh race, Zombyslayermrdarcy and Doughboy are scratched from a maiden claimer.
