Email

There is a pick six carryover of $169,635 for Sunday's pick six after a tricky sequence of longshots in the first five legs of Saturday's pick six.

The winners of the first five pick six races were Bab at the Bowster ($9.20), Sheer Talent ($39.80), Make Music for Me ($6.80), Tres Borrachos ($18.80), and Free Beer ($33.60). The carryover was announced before the final race was run.

Sunday's pick six covers the fourth through ninth races. The only official scratches are in the seventh race. Secret Cove and Red Flags Flying were scratched on Saturday morning. In the featured Bing Crosby Stakes, Coffee Boy is listed as a 20-1 outsider, but he has been entered to race on Wednesday.

Free Beer won a $16,000 claimer over 1 1-16 miles.

Hughesy, who finished sixth as the even-money favorite, was claimed in a four-way shake by Peter Miller. Lusterdust, a recent shipper from Texas, was claimed by Genaro Vallejo.

As a result of the carryover, Del Mar will not offer $50,000 seed money to the pick six, which is being done on Sundays this summer when the pick six does not have a carryover.
