I'm off to the races but here's the timetable for today's 13-race card at Belmont and a rundown of the six stakes races that comprise a $1 million guaranteed pick-6: There are three pick-4's on the card. with the one on races 8-11 (the last four pick-6 races) also carryng a $1 million guaranteed pool.

  1:20 pm: Preliminary winning Beyer Speed Figures from Friday: Agave Kiss (Miss Preakness) 106; Alternation (Pimlico Special) 101; In Lingerie (Black-Eyed Susan) 91.

2:00 pm: Here's the post-scratch lineup for the $319k triple pick-6 carryover at Belmont, which starts in about half an hour with the 4th race at 2:26 pm:  

It's going to be a busy Friday of racing and wagering between the 13-race Black-Eyed Susan/Pimlico Special card at Pimlico and a $319k triple Pick-6 carryover at Belmont Park. Here are the lineups for the Friday and Saturday cards at Pimlico -- a total of 26 races, 14 of them stakes, though the Preakness is the lone Grade 1 event. And that's not including the $75k "President of the U.A.E. Cup" for Arabian horses, which will be run between Saturday's third and fourth races.

In the last 50 years, horses who finished second in the Kentucky Derby are only 2 for 36 in the Preakness Stakes. This seems worth mentioning in a year when the Derby runner-up, Bodemeister, is the likely morning-line favorite for the Preakness.
