  It appears that trainer Peter Miller has finally found ST. JOE BAY's niche. For most of his 19-start career, St. Joe Bay has bounced back-and-forth from turf to dirt routes with a synthetic sprint race sprinkled in for good measure (third in the Grade 3 Bob Hope Stakes as a 2-year-old in 2014).

The Breeders' Cup lived up to the hype.   Arguably, Friday's Distaff was the most discussed event on the 13-race, two-day extravaganza. After all, it was a champion and first-ballot Hall of Famer (Beholder) versus the champion filly that vanquished Beholder in their last two meetings (Stellar Wind) versus an undefeated champion (Songbird).
