CD: One That Got Away at 2-5

Even on a Thursday, it takes quite a bit of jack to get a horse down from 9-5 to 2-5 in the last few cycles on wagering at a major track like CD. That's what happened with One That Got Away ($2.80), who easily captured the 5th in a field of 9 filly-mare nickel sprinters. R.Albarado was up for M.Maker on the 4yo filly, who was a lukewarm 5-2 M/L choice. When they hit the wire, some $51k was bet to win on One That Got Away from a total win pool of about $90k.

One That Got Away was the second winner in the  pick 6 sequence that started today with a carryover of just over $50k. The first winner was Westshore (5-2, second choice) under C.Borel.

There are 20 MTP for the 6th, and Leather Laces (#6) is the 9-5 fave among 9 wagering interests.
