Calder: Speed not good

There has yet to be a wire to wire winner on today's card which to this point has consisted of five dirt races and one on grass.  It's also hard to believe My Pal Chrissy managed to rally up what seems to be a slightly deeper rail to defeat the odds on She's Hot Hot in the 4th race after failing to be able to keep up with that rival, finishing eight lengths behind, under similar starter conditions on May 21 and nine behind She's Hot Hot on April 25.   My Pal Chrissy was just the second winner this year from 77 starters for trainer Padarath Lutchman.

Jockey Wilmer Galviz allowed himself to get outmoved aboard 7-5 Too Experience by Star Player turning for home in the fifth race but fortunately had enough horse to come back again and get up in the final stride to win the high level starter allowance race.
