Calder: Rail still bad

Email

Despite the fact Canadian Magic just went wire to wire while racing nearest the rail, it appears the outer parat of the track is best once again. Canadian Magic, a big, good looking 3-year-old filly by Canadian Frontier, was just too good for her competition now that she's running cheap and was kept off the fence by jockey Carlos Olivero. The first four races were won by horses stalking and rallying outside the early leaders.

Jockey Luis Saez moved back into a one victory lead over Manoel Cruz in the tight race for the rider's title after guiding All Drama to a popular victory in the second event.
