Calder: Big day for Lopez

Paco Lopez has pretty much picked up where he left off in south Florida when leaving as champion of the Gulfstream meet earlier this year. Won his third race of the day with a well judged ride aboard The Braveheart in the 10th, adding that win to earlier tallies aboard Speed Angel and Finest Silver. The last named got her victory via the disqualification of the odds on The West Rim who came out under left hand pressure to briefly bump Finest Silver then continue to carry that rival out through late stretch.

Daniel Centeno has also posted a hat trick today as he continues to fight for leading rider honors this meet with apprentice John Delgago and Manoel Cruz.

The biggest winner so far, however, was jockey Shaun Bridgmohan and trainer Chris Block who combined to get Askbut I Won'ttell home on top in the Grade 3 My Charmer, the pair running down the game 3-year-old Trip For A J after the latter showed the way until deep stretch.

The Grade 3 Tropical Turf up next. Never ON Sunday the tepid 3-1 favorite with RAhystrada and Midnight Mischief also taking a good deal of supposed in a race where five of the 12 starters are priced from 3-1 to 6-1 with four minutes to post.
