CALDER: Americanrevolution back on top of his game

After going more than a year without a win, the old veteran Americanrevolution has now won twice in 11 days after crushing an overmatched field of starter allowance opposition in the seventh race as the 1-5 favorite. The win was the sixth in eight starts for the 7-year-old homebred who has never shown much outside of south Florida but has excelled every time he's been returned to trainer Bill White's barn.

The eighth race has moved to the main track and has had three of the original nine entrants scratched. Mallory Square currently stands at 3-5 despite not having won a race this year and being a little suspect around two turns.
