Belmont: Unrivaled Belle flips, scratched from Phipps

Unrivaled Belle, the defending Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic winner, was scratched out of the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps Handicap after she flipped in the paddock and suffered a bump on her withers, according to trainer Bill Mott.

``She wet over,'' Mott said. ``Looked like it was not terribly hard. She walked off.''

Unrivaled Belle has been known to be a handful for her handlers in the paddock and on the track.

``Wev'e schooled her more than we've ever schooled her,'' Mott said.
