Belmont Park: R Betty Graybull gives White first win

When she worked as an assistant trainer for Gasper Moschera, Linda White was part of hundreds of win photos in New York.

Wednesday, she got one that she can call her own.

White, who took over as the trainer for Fantasy Lane Stables when Alan Seewald -- for whom White worked several years as an assistant ---- died in April, earned her first victory of the year when R Betty Graybull came charging down the center of the good Belmont main track to rund down Meese Rocks and win the $70,000 Anniron Stakes for New York-bred fillies by 1 1-4 lengths. Carlos Marquez Jr. was aboard the winner.

R Betty Graybull, a daughter of Holy Bull, won for the second time this year, fifth in 16 starts and third in for the Fantasy Lane Stables, headed by Bob Hutt. R Betty Graybull has recorded 3 of her 5 career wins at Belmont.

R Betty Graybull covered seven furlongs in 1:25.25 and returned $22.80 to win.

R Betty Graybull's victory ensured there will be a pick-six carryover into Thursday's card.
