Belmont: Favorites win back to back

The prospects for a double carryover in the pick-6 have lessened considerably in the wake of back-to-back wins by favorites in legs #3 and #4.

The late money went to Implosion (6th, $6.50), a wide-rallying maiden winner for Delaware-based trainer Michael Stidham.

Skipadate (7th, $5.70) unleashed a strong late run under Javier Castellano (his third win of the day) to win a $58,000 allowance for Dale Romans, with import Bangalore Gold a tough-trip second at 4-1 in his U.S. debut for Christophe Clement.
