Belmont: Fast & firm

Big Sandy is fast and the turf courses are firm to begin the week, with the temporary rails set way out ay 27 ft. on the inner and 18 ft. on the Widener.

The first four races are on the main track; the last five are on the grass. The co-features are optional claimers with third-level allowance conditions: Tahitian Warrior, coming off back-to-back allowance wins with triple-digit Beyer Figures, will be odds-on over five rival milers in race 3; Affirmatif is the morning-line choice over nine rival turf sprinters in race 8.
