Arlington: That's why he's leading rider

Bourbon Trail moved into a fast pace and had no final punch when finishing third in an Illinois N1X Poly sprint allowance July 30. Mike Baze took over the reins in race 7 today, held B Trail up well behind the leaders until the three-sixteenths pole, then asked his mount for everything. Baze got the response he wanted, but, coming up the fence, still had to slip through a tiny crease between the tiring leader and a couple pressers on the outside. Which he did. And won going away. Very well done. Second on the day for trainer Canani, owner Calabrese.
