Arlington: Some slow horses, some faster

Just-completed 6th a STRONG candidate for worst race of the meet, IMO. $71.20 winner Royal Treatment won this Illinois-bred maiden-claimer by running six furlongs in just under 1:15. The Polytrack is far from fast, but it was much slower two Thursdays ago. This time was just exceedingly slow. Bunch of horses pulled up in an ugly fashion, too. Watch the replay and start taking names.

Race 4, on the other hand, was strong for the class level, $7.5K claiming. Both Kinsale With Me and Jilluke, co-6/5 shots, finished in about 24 seconds flat for the final quarter-mile. Kinsale With Me got the jump and win, rare horse claimed off owner Frank Calabrese to come back and win at a higher class level. Calabrese owns Jilluke, too. But Frank quickly got back on track in race 5 with Umma Umma home at a crazily short 1-5 in a $10K claimer.

No apparent Poly bias, with times in an average range - average, at least, for the last few weeks.
