Arlington: Saint Leon wins Friday feature at surprising price

Man, sometimes I just don't get this game. Every day I see horses going off at odds of 3-5 whose price blows my mind, horses who no sane bettor would trust at such a low rate of return. So in featured race 5 today at Arlington, Saint Leon is more than fast enough, in good form, certain to make a clear lead from the fence, and racing over the Arlington turf course with the rail 10 feet outside lane 5, a position that favors him -- and I'm not even sure he was favored in a five-horse field! Layoff horse Spectacular Kid, who had none of the aforementioned positive characteristics, was 7-5 along with Saint Leon, who I would have pegged at 3-5 here. And who won very easily, with Spectacular Kid nowhere. Like I said -- sometimes I just don't get this game.
