Arlington: Polytrack speed good til the end

Email

Strongest inside-speed day of the meet, I'd say. Even after some rain came, the Polytrack continued to carry front-runners. Enty's Girl wired race 8, a sprint, and Nuckser led every jump of race 10 but the last, that after setting what should have been a compromising pace. Nuckser went off at odds of 7-1, meaning bettors were all over the track profile, since this was a natural 15-1 or 20-1 shot. I know I played the horse just because it looked like he was speed and the rail.

Mike Stidham and James Graham closed the Saturday card with a pair of winners. Summer Savory moved forward nicely off a last-out win to easily capture race 9, a fast-paced two-turn turf allowance, while it was Lumberyard Jack just barely able to overcome the bias and an inferior for to prevail in the nightcap.
