Arlington: Poly summary for Friday

EmailPolytrack playing slow -- but probably not quite as slow as on Thursday. That pattern seems more like the racing week two weeks ago, rather than last week's. And if it holds, the track will continue quickening through the weekend. But I wouldn't be betting on that.

No major susprises today. Mild favorite Battle Power's flop in race 6 surprised me upon seeing it, but in retrospect wasn't so hard to understand. Cure seemed likely at 3-5 in race 2, a $5K starter sprint on the main track, and ran well enough to win, finishing 10 lengths clear of third while nipped by front-end comebacker Saint Leon. Team Calabrese in midst of first string of bad luck this meet.
