Arlington: Mason barn heating up?

Trainer Ingrid Mason, of whom few bettors knew little, got off to a strong start last Arlington meet, and while her early success rate was unsustainable over the long-term, she did finish the 2010 season with a strong 16-10-13 mark from 63 runners while producing a $2.00 ROI. Mason's stock early this meet were almost universally heavily bet while the barn won with just two of 17 starters, but Mason has struck with her last two starters here, and -- funny how this works -- neither Malawi yesterday nor Behr Fact today was bet below expected odds. I'd be giving extra attention to Mason-trained runners over at least the next racing week or so. But, then, so may be others.
