Arlington: Catching up

Backing up to mid-card, that was a tough DQ on Big Rushlet in race 4, a $40K claimer also for N2X alw. horses. Jock E.T. Baird's whip struck outside pressing All Tanked Up around the eighth pole, and though stewards judged contact inadvertant, they still took down the 3-5 favorite. No doubt All Tanked Up's head whipped back, but his rider had gotten in tight on Baird entering the stretch, and Big Rushlet had no been headed, nor did ATU seem to be going the better of the two.

Chalkies then took another on the chin in race 5, where odds-on Mourette made menacing off-the-turn move in Illinois-bred N1X turf allowance, only to be outfinished by slow-pace-setting Delightful Daisy. Two wins on the card for trainer Michele Boyce.

As for that 'live' FP shipper My Taylaur Slew in race 6, she was right there turning for home in an Illinois MSW Poly-sprint, but had no final account, as well-bet 5th-time starter Dancing Demonette rallied strongly on the outside to win going away for Neil Pessin / James Graham.

And good luck with upcoming race 7. Twelve female turf claimers, no speed in the race -- and no clue.
