Arlington: All turf now good, speed holding inside

Reasonably, Arlington has upgraded the condition of the inner turf course from yielding to good. That's what it felt like to me all along, and the two two-turn races just run went in times that were nothing close to as slow as one would expect on yielding.

Speed continues to dominate on the inside course, with pace-pressing Gaelic Storm easily winning race 5. Granted, G Storm was an even-money favorite, and inside speed Tidy Up backed through the field here, but in race 5, 6-1 shot Exchanging Kisses also led all the way, and horses trying to rally wide are going nowhere.

Sadly, upcoming race 6 is the last of the day on the inner turf, and it's a whole new ball game out in lane 5.

Three winners already for jockey Mike Baze, two of them for a new supporter, owner Frank Calabrese.
