Arlington: $37,500 Pick Six carryover

Snicker all you want, East and West Coasters: That's a solid P6 carryover for Chicago, where the bet has nothing like the popularity it does in New York and California.

And good luck with the sequence spanning races 4-9. Here we have a $1 minimum base bet, which is good, cause it seems to me you're gonna need every possible combination affordable to have any shot. For starters, the field size after scratches in the six races goes 10, 7, 11, 10,11, and 9.

I'd say Jilluke in race 5 could be the closest thing to a universal single in the sequence, but I don't trust this horse at all, and picked him third. Miss Doctor Ty, a main contender, apparently draws into race 6 with morning-line favorite Embers Glowing scratched. Miss Doctor Ty part of Frank Calabrese-owned entry (Calabrese also owns Jilluke) with C C Cerada, and this pair will be heavily favored in what might turn out to be wide-open $16K turf-route claimer. I think going fairly deep in race 4, an MSW turf route, may be required just to stay alive into leg 2, since morning-line chalk Stormy Spirit does not give off vibes of a "good thing." And, should one make it through to race 9, have fun with that $10K maiden-claimer on Polytrack. I merely went with the three class-droppers, Via Di Roma, She's Above Da Law, and That Luvin Feeling.
