Aqueduct: Trillian much the best; `Bling' takes up sharply

New York players hungry for a fresh face pounded Parx Racing shipper Trillian to 3-4 favoritism and were rewarded when Eddie Castro shot the 6-year-old Trippi mare through a tight hole along the rail in upper stretch en route to a 4 1-4-length victory. Actually, Trillian was a one-time New York based horse first with Bruce Levine and then with Naipaul Chatterpaul before being claimed by Philly connections. She did not get claimed back by anyone Saturday.

At the three-sixteeenths pole, Trillian made his move, cutting in front of a tiring Indy's Forum and Simon Husbands. Meanwhile, Jacqueline Davis took up sharply aboard her mount, She's Got Bling, at the three-sixteenths pole. The stewards posted the inquiry sign, but let the result stand, as is their custom when they don't feel an incident affected the result. She's Got Bling finished last, right behind Indy's Forum.

Hard to tell if Castro did anything wrong or if Davis was just anticipating something going wrong.
