Aqueduct: Lots of Stones wins Ruby Rubles handily

Lots of Stones (3rd, $3.20) maintained the chalk parade at Aqueduct, stalking Sister's Speed to the stretch and easily pulling away beneath Ramon Dominguez to win the $60,000 Ruby Rubles overnight stakes in handy fashion.

Lots of Stones, a 4-year-old New York-bred filly by Strategic Mission, ran six furlongs in 1:11.10 on a fast main track, and improved to 7-0-2 from nine career starts for owner-breeder Roddy Valentine and trainer Bruce Levine.

Far behind the winner, 3-2 second choice Big Brownie edged out third choice Laylaben for second, and they completed a $4.70 exacta and $8.50 trifecta. Citifiesta and Sister's Speed were next under the line, as the field of five finished in pari-mutuel order.

Including a win via disqualification by Zio Tony (2nd, $3.00), favorites have taken eight of the first 12 races at the spring meet.
