Aqueduct: Honeywantshermoney dies; Da Silva taken to hospital


 Honeywantshermoney, who set the pace before fading to third in the ninth, stumbled and fell a little more than a sixteenth past the finish line, succumbing to a cardiovascular collapse, according to NYRA officials.

 Jockey Eurico Da Silva was unseated and was removed from the track on a stretcher. He was taken by ambulance to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for evaluation, complaining of neck and shoulder pain.

 Honeywantshermoney was a 3-year-old daughter of Hook and Ladder owned and bred by Chester and Mary Broman and trained by Rodrigo Ubillo. She had been beaten 70 lengths combined in her three previous starts before running a respectable race Wednesday.

 Da Silva, riding his first winter in New York, had ridden 9 winners from 81 mounts at this meet entering Wednesday's action. Earlier on the card, Ubillo and DaSilva teamed up to win the third race with 22-1 shot Team Plan ($47.60).

 The ninth was won by Falbala, one of seven favorites to win on the nine-race card. Five of the favorites were in the pick-six which returned $102. The highest priced-winner was Celebrity Sighting, the 5-2 second chioce who returned $7.10.
