Aqueduct: Good eye, Maggie!

Maggie Wolfendale, NYRA's paddock presence, provided some useful information with her report prior to the start of Thursday's second race. When discussing Monte, the 4-5 favorite, Wolfendale said the 4-year-old gelding didn't look like a sprinter and also looked a little dull while being saddled.

Monte, who probably took all the money because he was making his first start off the Rudy Rodriguez claim and was 0 for 3 at six furlongs, finished last at 4-5.

Seeking Anita won the race at 15-1 under a strong late run under Mike Luzzi, just edging out Air Jax Maxx.

NYRA does a judicious job of using Wolfendale, who has demonstrated time and again a good eye for who looks good and who doesn't.
